Description

Description

  1. Isolation: The switchgear is used to isolate a section of the electrical system for maintenance, testing, or troubleshooting purposes.
  2. Switching: It allows the operator to switch on or off the power supply to different sections of the electrical system.
  3. Protection: The switchgear includes protection devices such as fuses and circuit breakers that can detect and interrupt a fault in the electrical system before it causes damage.
  4. Monitoring: It includes devices such as meters and sensors that can monitor the current, voltage, and power factor of the electrical system.
  5. Control: The switchgear can be controlled and operated remotely or locally, and it can be integrated with other control systems for a better management and supervision.
  6. Arc flash protection: It provides protection to the operator from the hazards of an arc flash event.
  7. Grounding: It allows the operator to ground the system in case of a fault.
  8. Earthing: It makes sure that the equipment is properly earthed and is safe to operate.
  9. Insulation: It provides insulation to the equipment and ensures that there is no leakage of current.
  10. Safety: It ensures that the equipment is safe to operate and that it complies with the relevant safety regulations.

Save Work Environment

Save Work Environment

  • Adequate lighting: There should be good lighting to allow workers to clearly see the equipment and wiring.
  • Ventilation: Adequate ventilation is necessary to prevent the buildup of hazardous fumes and dust.
  • Accessibility: The electrical panel should be located in an area that is easily accessible to maintenance workers and electricians.
  • Safety equipment: Workers should have access to appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and hard hats.
  • Organization: The electrical panel should be organized in a manner that allows workers to easily identify and access equipment and wiring.
  • Grounding: Proper grounding is necessary to protect workers from electrical shock and to protect equipment from damage.
  • Space: There should be sufficient space for workers to safely move around the electrical panel and perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  • In summary, the work environment for electrical panel work should prioritize safe
